Miami, FL -- Oct. 3, 1999 -
Western Digitech today announced it has completed the purchase of Davocom One's network integration and support business. As part of the purchase Davocom One will transfer all current network integration clients to Western Digitech. The majority of the 30+ clients are mid-sized corporations headquartered in South Florida. Terms of the purchase were not announced.

Josh Kotler, Chief Operating Officer at Western Digitech, stated that the purchase represents an important step in his company's growth, and added that future expansion would include similar initiatives. "Western Digitech has enjoyed considerable growth over the past few years through traditional marketing efforts, which will continue. Davocom One came to us a few months ago, and their proposal just made sense for us." Kotler said. "This purchase allows us to accelerate our expansion by adding at large number of accounts to our client base at one time."

Davocom One, until recently a strong player in the network integration business, recently decided to focus on data and voice cabling as its primary business. Luis Rodriguez, President of Davocom One, explained the reasons for the move. "Davocom One was founded years ago to help area businesses deploy data, voice, and communications technology. Over the past few years it has become clear that our strength lies in infrastructure deployment, i.e. data and voice cabling." Rodriguez went on to explain that Western Digitech was the natural choice for them. "The most important consideration for us was to place our clients with a company that could offer the best possible support. Western Digitech is a Novell Platinum Partner and a Microsoft Certified Solutions Provider with a great reputation for competence and service. Some of our former employees and clients were already with Western Digitech, and when we spoke with them they confirmed the company's reputation".

John Davis, Western Digitech's founding partner and CEO, is excited by the challenge of integrating former Davocom One clients into the existing client base. "We have a large, very capable technical staff that will make the transition much easier for our new clients. We are already engaged in systems analysis at each of the new client sites which will allow us to build an accurate database of each system that we will be required to support. A fair number of these new clients need extensive support right now, and it looks like our engineers won't get a lot of sleep for the next few weeks. But it's a challenge that we will meet."
